Know what causes a tire blowout:

Blowouts are the result of air escaping from the tire -- slowly or all at once -- leaving it with less air pressure than needed to support your car's weight, passengers and whatever else you're hauling around.

Not having enough pressure in your tires forces the rubber to work harder than it's built to. Working past the limits of its design causes the tire to get too hot, which breaks down its internal structure and, ultimately, causes a blowout.

Blowouts can also be caused by asking your tires to carry more weight than they can manage, immediate or old impact damage, or a puncture that releases air over time until eventually the tire cries uncle in the form of a blowout.

TOYOTA PRADO VS LEXUS GX470

If you are a car lover like me, you would have noticed lately the increase in the number of Lexus GX 470 in Lagos particularly. Before now, Toyota Land cruiser Prado and 4runner dominated the SUV luxury world but we are starting to see a shift. So I took my search online to find out which is more preferably and guess what? I keep hearing that the 4runner and the GX470 is the same. Well, people it's not! You guys really need to sit in both to compare and it's not the same! It's Luxury vs. Economy. I can see as far as size and some of the parts, but there is no comparison. I am tired of people coming up to me at the gas station saying crap like you are just paying for the name. The 4runner is the same...IT"S NOT DAMN IT!!! The 4runner rides like a bumpy truck and the GX is smooth and quiet. The leather and interior alone should shut people up, but they just don't get it. Sorry guys I just need to vent when people has to be negative just because you have a nicer car……………

Well, they do have different bodies and interiors. The GX470 body is taller and has a side-hing rear door. In contrast, the 4Runner has a traditional top-hinged rear hatch. The GX470 is significantly heavier.

But the frame, powertrain (engine, transmission, driveshaft, differential, axles) and basic suspension design are the same.

One thing of interest to me that the both cars have in common is their tyre size. They both use a size 265/65R17. HOW JIM IYKE HELPED ME UNDER THE RAIN; LIZZY EJIOFOR

I am an MTN staff and was driving to work one early morning. Suddenly it became cloudy. People sensed it was about to rain and traffic reduced.

It was on a highway and it has started drizzling already. I was rushing to beat the rain that was obvious it was going to fall heavily. Traffic has really reduced and few cars were on the road. Eventually I discovered I left my jack at the mechanic previously.  I desperately waved cars down looking for a help but nobody seemed ready to help me.

Suddenly a black range rover pulled over. It was Jim Iyke in a in a white shirt and whit combat. He asked me what my problem was and i told him in surprise. He quickly went for his jack and helped me change the tyre under the heavy rain. And ten minutes later we were done with the tyre and ready to move on to our various destinations. We exchanged numbers and drove off.
